Fisherfield Wilderness Munro Trek 2021

The Fisherfield Wilderness Treks
Backpacking Trek into 'The Great Wilderness'
Saturday 1st - Monday 3rd May 2021
ABOUT THE TRIP
The Fisherfield Forest contains perhaps the remotest Munros in Scotland. They can be done as separate but very long day walks. But the best way to explore them is backpacking in for a few days. One of the famous 6 Munros has been demoted from Munro status to a Corbett but is a majestic hill. Add potentially difficult river crossings, there's no wonder the view from A'Mhaigdean is considered the best in Britain - given the effort to get there!
Munros:
Sgurr Ban (989m / 3,245ft)
Mullach Coire Mhic Fhearchair (1,019m / 3,343ft)
Beinn Tarsuinn (937m / 3,074ft)
A’Mhaighdean (967m / 3,173ft)
Ruadh Stac Mor (918m / 3,012ft)
Corbett: Beinn a’ Chlaidheimh (913.96m / 2,999ft)
Meeting Point:
09:00am Corrie Halley Park

If the rivers are impassable, we'll go in from Poolewe which is a much longer walk in and we'll not be able to set up a campsite (in other words - we have to carry everything).
Difficulty: The approximate total distance & ascent is 45.5km / 28.2 miles distance and 2,955m / 9,695ft ascent. There are some good tracks as well as some pathless sections with short scrambling sections. We may be carrying our camping equipment for two nights and three days walking. It is always hoped that we can get a spot to set up camp and have lighter packs for the three days but this is not always possible due to the infamous river crossings (two of them on the way in and out again plus the worst bog in Scotland. These trips are always an epic - it's not The Great Wilderness for nothing!
Cost: The three days guiding costs £295 per person (if booking for one person), £265.50 each if booking 2-3 places or £250.75 each if booking 4-6 places. 16-18 year old's are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will need to provide your own transport and accommodation.
Numbers: I can take a maximum of 6 and a minimum of 2 in order to run the events. If there are fewer than the minimum numbers booked you'll get a full refund. If you want to book for more than 6 please get in touch.

TO BOOK
If you want to chat to me about the adventure then please feel free to do so - email is a good start as I'm often out and about with limited phone reception.
If you don't like the idea of the online booking or would prefer to pay a 10% deposit for now, that's fine as I can simply raise an invoice. Please note that this has an additional £5 non-refundable administration fee.
Simply click 'Book Now' and follow the instructions. You'll get an automated confirmation reply but I'll follow that up when I get back to civilisation to say thanks and with more detail about the trip.
Please ensure you've read the Terms and Conditions and you are aware of what you need to bring by downloading the gear list.
A quirk of the website hosting system means there are a range of ticket options (apologies about that). Please check the number you are booking for on the ticket options and ensure you request that number of tickets...
