Glencoe Munros

Glencoe Munros

Saturday 28th - Monday 30th August 2021

The mighty Glencoe stops tourists with awe and wonder at it's beauty. Buachaille Etive Mor from Rannoch Moor is regularly voted the most picturesque Munro and is a perfect pyramid. We'll do a number of day trips to bag the biggest Munros in the area.

We'll have the big days on the Saturday and Sunday, and have a shorter day Monday to allow everyone to get home.

Possible Mountains:

Bidean nam Bian (1,150m / 3,773ft) & Stob Coire Sgreamhach ( 1,072m / 3,517ft) including the Lost Valley and Stob Coire nan Lochan (A subsiduary top of Bidean - 1,115m / 3,658ft)

Buachaille Etive Mor: Stob Dearg (1,021m / 3,350ft) & Stob na Broige (956m / 3,137ft)

Buachaille Etive Beag: Stob Coire Raineach (925m / 3,035ft) & Stob Dubh (958m / 3,143ft)

Meeting Point:

09:00am Ballachulish Visitor Centre Cafe, Albert Road, Ballachulish PH49 4JB

DifficultyThese are big and challenging hills and will require good fitness. There is a small section of scrambling off Bidean nam Nian. There are relatively good tracks throughout the area though some are steep.

Cost: The three days guiding costs £295 per person (if booking for one person), £265.50 each if booking for 2-3 people or £250.75 each if booking for 4 or more. 16-18 year old's are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will need to provide your own transport and accommodation

Numbers: I can take a maximum of 8 and a minimum of 4 for the trip to proceed. If there are fewer than the minimum numbers you will be offered a full refund.

For some inspiration have a look at some previous trips!

Guided Trips - Frequently asked questions

Is this suitable for me?

You will need to be fit and have some walking experience. Some of the walks are longer than others and they are often off tracks and there are rocky sections. I will always try and accommodate everyone but if unsure please drop me an email.

What do I need to bring?

You will need walking clothes (not cotton or jeans!), some extra layers, waterproofs, hat and gloves. You'll want to bring some food/lunch which you can easily eat. Plus some water or a thermos of tea/coffee/hot ribena. You can see the recommended kit list here.

I'm coming from further afield, where can I stay nearby?

This is up to you depending on your budget. This is a popular area in summer so advance booking is advised. There is accommodation ranging from campsites through to hotels near the Clachaig and Glencoe Village. There is also places to find in Ballachulish and of course the Kingshead Inn at the top of Glencoe.

What's not included?

Accommodation (if applicable), Food, Personal Insurance, Personal equipment, Transport

How much is the trip and how do I book?

Please see the Terms and Conditions section by clicking the link. You can also see the Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.

I've got some more general questions...

Please see the General FAQ section by clicking the link here. If you've still got questions then please get in touch!

How do I get there?

If you're not driving, there are Citylink buses from Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Alternatively it may be possible to arrange to pick you up en route. If you are willing to offer a lift please let me know.

If you want to chat to me about the adventure feel free to do so - email is a good start as I'm often out and about with limited phone reception.
If you don't like the idea of the online booking or would prefer to pay a 10% deposit for now, that's fine as I can simply raise an invoice. Please note that this has an additional £5 non-refundable administration fee.
Or simply click 'Book Now' and follow the instructions. You'll get an automated confirmation reply but I'll follow that up when I get back to civilisation to say thanks and with more detail about the trip.
Please ensure you've read the Terms and Conditions and you are aware of what you need to bring by downloading the gear list.
A quirk of the website hosting system means there are a range of ticket options (apologies about that). Please check the number you are booking for on the ticket options and ensure you request that number of tickets...
Any problems then please get in touch
