Scafell Pike - England's Highest Mountain

Saturday 30th July or Sunday 31st July 2022

Slide1.png
About the event:

At 978m (3,208ft) above sea level, Scafell Pike is England's highest mountain in the heart of the Lake District National Park. There are numerous ways to walk up Scafell Pike. The most common is up the 'tourist track' from Wasdale but this route is a brutal slog. There are some other amazing routes which are overlooked for being slightly longer. We'll be taking a slightly less trodden route which will depend on who comes along!

Most importantly we also have a pub to dive into at the end!

Meeting Point:

09:00am at the Wasdale Head car park (this is NOT the National Trust car park!).

To view the start point on Google Maps, please click here. This will open in a separate tab.

Difficulty:

There are good tracks throughout thought the summit of Scafell Pike is a rocky boulderfield and often extremely busy. We have the option to add other nearby Wainwrights to the day. The main route is 10.5km (6.5 miles) with just over 1,000m (3,281ft) ascent.

Cost:

The guided walk up Scafell Pike is £49 per person with discounts for booking for more than one person.

16-18 year old's are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

You will need to provide your own transport, travel insurance and accommodation.

Numbers:

I can take a maximum of 10 and a minimum of 4 in order to run the events. If there are fewer than the minimum numbers booked you'll get a full refund. Under 18s are welcome as long as the legal parent or guardian comes too. If you have a large group (as sometimes happens) please get in touch about booking more than 6 as that's all the online booking has been set up for (in terms of discounts!)

Equipment:

Please see the All Activities section of the kit list.

Please ensure you've read the booking Terms and Conditions and you are aware of what you need to bring by downloading the gear list.

Please check carefully which tickets you are booking and for how many. We try and be flexible but of course that brings loads of options!
