Scafell Pike - England's Highest Mountain
Scafell Pike Days Out
Climb England's highest mountain!
Saturday 30th or Sunday 31st July 2022
ABOUT THE DAY
At 978m (3,208ft) above sea level, Scafell Pike is England's highest mountain in the heart of the Lake District National Park. There are numerous ways to walk up Scafell Pike. The most common is from Wasdale but this route is a brutal slog. There are some other amazing routes which are overlooked for being slightly longer.
Most importantly we also have a pub to dive into at the end!
09:00am at the Wasdale Head car park (this is NOT the National Trust car park!).
To view the start point on Google Maps, please click here. This will open in a separate tab.
Difficulty: The approximate total distance & ascent is 22km / 13.5 miles distance and 1,610m / 5,282ft ascent. There is a good track although it can be steep in places. The walk is shorter with less ascent if we miss out the other Wainwrights en route.
Cost: The guided walk up Scafell Pike is £49 per person with discounts for booking for more than one person. 16-18 year old's are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian. You will need to provide your own transport and accommodation.
Numbers: I can take a maximum of 10 and a minimum of 4 in order to run the events. If there are fewer than the minimum numbers booked you'll get a full refund. Under 18s are welcome as long as the legal parent or guardian comes too. If you have a large group (as sometimes happens) please get in touch about booking more than 6 as that's all the online booking has been set up for (in terms of discounts!)
