Where is Grasmere?
Grasmere is in the central lakes just north of Ambleside on the main A591 route that links the north and south lakes (Keswick - Grasmere - Ambleside - Windermere - Kendal). There are good buses that travel this route.
Parking is slightly more awkward in summer. You may need to take the bus or rely on laybys on the A591!

Difficulty:
This is a long day so we'll need to bring plenty of water and food with us. Although there are good tracks throughout, they are rough and muddy in places. There are also steep uneven steps and a few sections of minor scrambling.
Prerequisites:
You'll need a good level of general hill fitness with experience of repeated ascent and descent.
Cost:
The day costs just £45 per person with discounts for booking more than one person
Numbers:
We can take a maximum of 10.
Equipment:
Please see the All Activities section of the kit list here. Walking poles are recommended.
You will need to provide your own transport (though we always encourage car sharing), hill kit, accommodation (if required) and travel insurance.
We encourage people to car share and this option can be noted on booking - whether you need a lift or would be willing to offer a lift.
