NAV REF

Nav is passionate about connecting people with the outdoors and wilderness, creating memorable experiences. He recognises the privilege of being able to help provide people with the confidence and opportunities to complete walks that they’ve been wanting to do, enabling them to reach their goals. He particularly loves climbing hills and has completed over half of Scotland’s munros and quarter of its Corbetts in the two years since moving to Scotland. He loves to plan and explore routes that are slightly different from the main paths and tries to ensure a mix of adventure and challenge where feasible. His walks can involve varied terrain including vehicle tracks, mountain paths or rough pathless moorland at different times of the year.

In his own time he loves all types of walking including scrambling and climbing all-year round. For him, hillwalking is a form of active mindfulness, being in the present and observing the wonders that nature has to offer.

He holds the Summer Mountain Leader award which is designed to ensure leaders have the necessary skills above and beyond what is expected to lead group walks and expeditions in the mountains of Britain and Ireland in summer conditions. He is also a member of the Mountain Training Association and Mountaineering Scotland and undertakes continuing professional development. He also holds a current enhanced DBS certificate and is insured to provide the range of activities within the remit of the Mountain Training Award held.
