About the event:
Crianlarich is one of the gateways to the highlands. A magnificent drive north of Glasgow takes you alongside Loch Lomond. It's a windy road in places which can be quite hair raising! But Crianlarich is our destination. Complete with a railway station, hostels through to hotels.
Ben More is the most recognisable peak in the region - and the highest. It has a classic mountain pyramid shape and further along a wide ridge is its twin Munro Stob Binnein with a conical peak. We will follow the traditional route from the Crianlarich road to the summits that offer incredible views of Ben Lui, the Lawers range and surrounding Lochs.
This is a great day to join a social group not only to make new friends and have some company, but also for those new to the Highlands who want a bit of an introduction to the terrain. The Highlands are akin to the Lakes but on a much, much bigger and stretched out scale.
If you are new to hill walking or heading out in the Highlands, you can join an optional zoom call a week beforehand if you want to. The guide will run through what to bring and how to pack your bag for the day.

Meeting Point:

Difficulty:
This is a level 2 walk. We will be following good tracks all day though there are steeper sections and the terrain naturally gets a bit rougher higher up. It's a big day however with 12km total distance (7.5 miles there and back again) with 1335m ascent (4,380ft).

Sociable with an interest in exploring the amazing Highland Mountains!

The day costs just £36 per person with discounts for booking more than one person.
